This house has been in Lesley’s husband Dean’s family for three generations
It was built in the late 1920’s out of duck pond stone and has a rich history associated with it, as it was a boarding house for many years, run by Vera Cooney who later had the stylish dress shop – Deans Frock shop.
The old copper is still out the back where all the sheets got boiled up!
The building also has a history of music with Vera Cooney being a pianist in the local dance band which some of the photos below show. There has always been a piano in the house. Now there are four!
I’m sure she would be very happy if she knew how much music emanates from the house today.
